You might be in trouble. Check out Sid Meiers Pirates. It uses the same engine. I believe it requires about double what you have. But you could upgrade to a decent PC for under 500 bucks. Dont know if that is in your budget.

You forgot an option. If the anticipation is better then the game, the game is going to suck. Anticipation is only good if there is a pay off at the end. But I have anticipated many a game that turned out to be crap.
