Currently you can save games to the Steam cloud, which is great for moving your saves across multiple computers so you can move from you desktop to laptop and keep playing the same game with ease. It would be nice if you could also sync your hall of fame across your computers as well.

All the problems are just amplified on the bigger maps cause they take more memory to begin with. I don't think that they cause additional problems.

Also on top of fragmenting if your hard disk is really full that can slow things down. Also as computers get older and hard disks get used more and more they start slow down, though the amount you're talking about is a bit ridiculous. If you have the time you could wipe the drive and reinstall...

Thats actually better than my terrain looked when I had the black terrain problem. You can (sort of) fix it by going to the world map editor and clicking the reveal entire map button. You'll be able to see the entire map including goody huts but you can at least avoid the irritating blackness...

Um, you might be able to run it, barely. I'm barely running it with a 512 ram, 1.4 ghz, and 32 mb with tnl. If you can run it I'm guessing you'll have to deal with the black terrain problem but if your willing to use the workaround for that then you might be okay.

Piece of cake, I've got 512 ram and a 32 MB graphics card, and the only thing I've had to deal with is the black terrain problem. But thats because of my video memory.
