    Alberta the Phoenix

Ummm...Prime Ministers can't be "impeached". When they lose the confidence of the House, the Governor General appoints a new Prime Minister or, more often, calls an election. If confederation "crumbled" every time we had a new parliament, it would be "crumbling" at least every 5 years. I know...

    "Maranoob"

I can't play anything other than Marathon/Giant. It's not a matter of "winning", it's a matter of enjoyment - I don't want a game that I finish in one sitting. Civ IV allows you to experience and build history - why would you want to build Rome in a day? Personally, I think the focus on...

    Why i hate blockades

Blockades are great - historically, they've been a defining factor in wars, especially modern ones - Germany and Britain in both world wars, and Japan in the 2nd. Blockades only suck when you're the one being blockaded - in my current ROM:AND game as Japan on the Giant Earth Map, I would be...

do you DOW on a friendly civ ?

The main consideration when DOWing a friendly civ is trade - you'll get less revenue from the lost partner, and any trade agreements (Resources for Gold) will be cancelled. The main reason I declare war in Civ4 is just because someone builds a city on a location I had already picked out -...

Starting location is as much a factor in difficulty as the difficulty level you play

I dunno, I'm playing ROM:AND with the Giant Earth Map, and the Turks got a starting location in Ukraine; their capital is surrounded by nothing but plains. They have the largest city (22) and the most number of cities (9) by 500 A.D. playing on Marathon.

    Which mods should I use?

I'm a de-hard Rise of Mankind: A New Dawn player. I really can't stand to play vanilla or with any other mod anymore since playing it.

A New Dawn Stories: From last to first

I'm not sure if you mentioned this, I looked around but didn't see: what version of AND are you using? Because I'm pretty sure I have the latest one and it doesn't have a lot of the options that you seem to have, like the ability to switch nations at will, et cetera. Or do you have an older version?

    Masterly Timing or Coincidence?

I've never seen the AI work that well together before...more commonly, you'll have "allies" that sit on the other side of the world, lending "moral support".

Winning a game - Analysis on nuclear holocaust and what would you do?

I defend nuclear weapons because they are a guarentee of peace. The U.S.S.R. and the U.S.A. were both invaded/attacked in 1941, when neither had nuclear weapons. Neither have seen such an attack by a foreign state since they have developed their atomic deterrants. Only once in world history...

Barbarians never form cities, and no revolutions

Yeah, I play on noble. Even with raging barbarians, no one is ever annihilated by them and they never form cities. In RevDCM on its own, civs drop like flies. Like I said, I think it's the fact that all civics generally grant massive stability bonuses, even the early ones.

Winning a game - Analysis on nuclear holocaust and what would you do?

Sure it's an issue of realism. The Maya surviving as an independant state (the people survived, my cousin is almost full-blooded Mayan) doesn't make the doctrine of Mutually Assured Destruction any less logical. It doesn't matter whether the superpowers are the U.S. and U.S.S.R. or France and...

Winning a game - Analysis on nuclear holocaust and what would you do?

I always avoid nuclear weapons, at the very least I have a policy of "no first use", because I don't play for "Victory", I play for role-playing. Sure, it's great if I can conquer the world. But sometimes you're thrown a scenario that's just no-win, or at least no-victory, so I'm content to have...

Barbarians never form cities, and no revolutions

Whenever I play, there never seem to be any barbarian civs forming and no one EVER succumbs to a revolution - no one even seems to have the slightest revolt. I play on epic speed. The problem with no barbarian civs forming isn't because there are too many civs, I never have more than 30...

    Iran Iraq War Mod+Scenario

I've been using 7-zip for years, that isn't the problem, and I'm extracting it to the x86 path. I'm going to try downloading the file again and seeing if I can get it to work.
