Very similar to how I start out.

    Specializing cities and worker management

I specialise since playing on higher difficulty levels. I never build financial buildings in Science cities and vice versa. I didn't think they had any effect unless you switch trade type. If there are any minor bonuses I've not noticed so they a probably irrelevant. The cost of a Market and...

I usually use random and haven't chosen a strategy based upon the Civ yet. Perhaps a Civs attributes have influenced my strategy in game in-directly, but as I say, I've never used a Civ for a specific plan.

    Using Caravans / Spies combo

Sounds like a good way to get spy's into enemy cities under cover; forget the tax, steal a Great person, lol.

    Deity level

I've won all the types on deity now and am quite comfortable with it. I guess it's just practice! I don't follow a strict plan either but I do build a big city with settlers from other nations and specialise city workers in all cities.

    Can you move great people?

I'm sure they meant steal one of your own Great people in order to relocate them.

    Civ Tech Tree

As I said, I think you have to have a direct prerequisite, that is, one from the previous "block" (there are 4 or 5 per block, not sure of the name for these blocks"

    Can you move great people?

How would you activate the select spy mission dialog? :p Your spy would just move into your city.

    Can you move great people?

Yeah, I definitely read that you could move them after settling. You're right though, you can't (well I haven't been able to).

    Civ Tech Tree

I think it's one of the direct pre-requisites. So basically one of the techs that directly (not via another tech) link (white line) to the target tech . I read somewhere it works on an OR method, not AND like previous civs. So like I said, only one of the direct pre-req's is required.

    Ice Caps

Yeah, When I said "Maybe Ice cap refers to a mountainous terrain tile" I meant the mountainous ice tile not the normal mountain, lol. It will mean that only air units can cross those two tiles :goodjob:

    Ice Caps

Maybe Ice cap refers to a mountainous terrain tile. Land units can't pass over these. Was it in a section describing just the Ice Cap terrain type? If so it probably says the same in the section describing the Mountain terrain type.

    Deity level

No idea about AI bonuses. I have a feeling you might get some penalties though. It felt like it was a bit tougher to grow my cities and buildings took a bit longer to construct. To be honest the difference between King and Emperor wasn't really noticeable, but saying that I only played on...

    Deity level

Anybody got anywhere with this yet? I'm finding Emperor ok, I have won all my games so far, but the three times i've moved up to Deity i've been hammered. The step up seems much greater than anything else. In each of the three deity games I played there was one run away civ. I could hold...
