    First domination attempt - Immortal

I'm in the opposite situation. I can do a domination victory but actually being the tech leader or getting culture is very difficult for me. War is the biggest advantage you have as a human. The AI are competent at building empires but they suck at wars. Even when I want to win peacefully I end...

    AI World Congress Proposals

They all seem to go for arts funding every time. Even scientific/military Civs.

AI unit shuffling worse than ever?

Yes. Do you think that's the reason he hesitated so long? If he had just marched on the capital (which he did because he went through a gap in my territory) and attacked inmediately I would have lost for sure. I was grateful for every turn he waited.

AI unit shuffling worse than ever?

I had an interesting experience with Hiwatha on Immortal. He was stronger and hated me for expanding aggressively and killing off the English. He built the Terracota Army so he doubled his military. He came with a large force of around 10 of his UU, a couple of archers and two or three...

    Patronage -> Consulates broken?

I agree, it's fantastic and I now do it on every game. The passive bonus is good in itself but it also means that you're just a coup/quest away from turning pretty much every CS into an ally. I'm playing on Immortal and I get to a point where over half of all city states are allies and the rest...

Which Civ we should have before Civilization VI?

I could get people saying that Israel is too unimportant when the game was only USA, China, Rome, Persia,Egypt and so forth. But after Polynesia and Zulu this argument is a bit ridiculous. In any case it's all about being fun to play, and Israel could be fun to play because there's a lot of...

Anybody Else Moving Up a Difficulty Level w/BNW?

I also had two relatively straightforward victories at Emperor using Venice and China (domination at turn 260, personal record). It does seem a bit easier, specifically the trade routes and the ideologies seem to make me feel more comfortable in terms of happiness and money. However it may...

Brave new World's New Civilizations - REVISED AGAIN!

Really surprised at how relatively few people want Italy.

    BNW is the final expansion

I think Civ5 is only now starting to run well on low and mid-range laptops with integrated graphics right? Civ was never about cutting edge graphics so I hope they take their time before VI. I don't know if they'll make another expansion or more DLC though.

Brave New World's 9 new Civs

I don't think they'll have more DLC, at least not Civs.

Brave New World's 9 new Civs

Four more Civs left. Jerusalem CS is still in so Israel is out.

    Probably Shaka right?

    Israel In BNW?

I think people are taking this too hard. Being included into Civ, a computer game, does not mean entering the hall of fame of human civilization. It's all about which cultures, empires or nations are fun to play as. Seriously, if the game has Polynesia and Zulu, then there is no reason why...

    Israel In BNW?

I am aware that Bethlehem is now in the Palestinian West Bank, but that does not mean Jesus was Palestinian... Jesus was Jewish. Also at the time there was no land called Palestine since the Romans only gave that name to the Judea province after the Jewish revolt which ended in 70 AD, years...

New Leader Hint! (Looks like Shaka)
