    Upgrading Units vs Rebuild

Use 2-3 GM around 1000-1100 AD to upgrade 30-40+ Maceman/Sword to Rifles.

    Five flavors of GP farm

@ 101 The majority of my posts in this thread were to spark a lively debate with misdirection to bait those who would bite so don't take them to heart. You can see how some people get crazy and start making comical accusations just because people disagree with them. Keep it fun and take what...

    Challenge to warmongers

I'd suggest changing some of the settings. Raging Barbarians is the easiest setting to play with. Marathon is quite abusive. If you are going to play Marathon then you probably don't wanna play such easy levels as Monarch/Emperor. Also, I really feel no tech brokering allows the human player...

    Five flavors of GP farm

@ Fox who says, Once again, you need to be astute. Here is one of my older posts which is a fit everything if you will: "You wanna stay in Emancipation so you're only gonna have like 7 merchant slots open which doesn't get you more gold at 100% slider in the best case." Now add that...

    Five flavors of GP farm

Some people are still rather clueless for whatever reasons may be. For those smart enough to catch on, congrats. Yes, I'm off topic, yes, I'm a bit brash. Yes, I get bored sometimes and like to make specific arguments which I have already tested and know to be 100% true - if you pay...

    Early GG use

Early wars with Chariots, Axes, Sword, Catapults = Medic Later wars with Rifles, Cannons, Grenadiers = Settle

    Nuances of a CE

My basic CE set up resembles something like 1 HE city no later than 200 ADish - non stop Mace and as I near Liberalism more cities help. 1 Oxford Capital no later than 1000 AD (250-400+ bpt) 1 NE city no later than 1 AD The rest of the cities working at least 6 cottages. My typical CE empire...

    Chariot Rush

I find this and this to be exactly the opposite in my personal experience. Chariot rushes tend to be quicker due to there cheaper cost, faster movement, and less time for AIs to garrison soldiers/culture. I would ALWAYS prefer to chariot rush over an Axe rush. Throw in a UU like...

    Five flavors of GP farm

My average WS city brings in over 400 gpt at 100% :science: slider. Everything I said earlier is correct, but as already mentioned, off topic - nor do I usually use towns myself - the point was and still remains that 100% slider, towns, while in emancipation - not caste will produce more gold...

    Rate staring techs !

There was certainly no attempt on my part to start any sort of fight or flaming. I was only rating my tech preferences and why I prioritize them how I do. Game balance is the most important thing to me.......I hate random maps too - my perfect map would be identical resources in every spot...

Which leader(s) do you dread finding near your civ?

    AIs that dont trade freely.

    Rate staring techs !

    1) Agriculture 2) TW 3) Mining The rest suck equally. AGR/TW because they are the most expensive techs which saves early turns plus TW is needed for Chariots and early rushes. I only play CRE leaders when not in a forum game so MYST is pointless. On crowded maps on Deity and below you need...

    Building cities fast enough

Sounds pretty crazy to me. My typical 1st settler doesn't start until 2600 BC and that is with worker > happy cap > settler. Lots of players prefer worker > happy cap > with a 2nd worker before or at happy cap > then settler > which would mean starting your first settler at 2400 BC.

    Fractal -> Raging Barbarians?

Raging Barbarians is quite possibly the easiest game setting there is.
