    Much easier. Just change the PrereqTech in CIV4BuildInfos.xml for BUILD_REMOVE_JUNGLE from Iron Working to Replaceable Parts or something like that.

    Problem with unique settler unit

    Since I gave the colonist a combat value of 1 (only defense) it has the same strength as the scout. That explains why I get it as the free starting unit. Thanks for the advice. edit: It works. I reduced the movement rate of the colonist (and the settler) to 1 and got my warrior back. :)

    Got some unexpected result when I added a unique unit to Portugal replacing the settler (called it 'colonist'). When starting the game as Portugal I got two colonists and no warrior as starting units. Does anyone know how to get rid of the second colonist and get back the warrior instead...

    This way I would insert it as a standard unit, not a UU, but it is nevertheless only be available for India. Nice idea, but also not very elegant. :think: This was easier with Civ III.
