    The Feudalism wave

Yes, you're right about this. I haven't played that much but all this seems to be good advice.

    Public opinion

^^ Correct i think but that's not all... If there are other civs that have the same ideology you have, they protect you to some extent from unhappiness. But the formula for that is non intuitive and hard to remember, i have looked it up a few times but i always forget. IIRC In some cases it's...

How i see it too. At this time i play ~one game a month i guess. That might change but there are always the older maps.

    Domination on Immortal/Deity - a noob's guide

I read this guide before i took a stab at the Zulu #1 . I did well, as well as Glory 7 because i'm a very good builder but i suffered multiple dows after taking out the first civ. Agree. In the Iroquois game i had all CS allied at some point, missed only 2 at the end of that game. Had also patronage finished, it's a powerful combo. Not that you would do this every game but CS shouldn't be neglected. Even in a domination game you'll probably need them for happiness.

    The Deity Challenge Line-up #30 - Iroquois

Compared to civ4 chops seem to be less powerful in this game as base production is generally higher and getting up improvements costs a lot of time with tradition in this game. For that reason i don't find myself chopping that much very early. Maybe i should chop a bit more but there always...

If you like Civ5 to resemble reality you are certainly right, can't live in the forests forever and prosper. Cheaper or more base hammers would be ok indeed.

Seems likely to me too. Pity they're not that good a civ in the first place. I feel the 10% could have stayed in without balancing problems.
