Check the specs on your Video Card. I have ATI Raedon 9200 and 1 Gig of onboard Ram.

There is a custom mods folder in the Civ4 directory for placing mods. To access just start the game and go to advanced options. Any maps or map scripts should be placed in the custom maps folder.

List a specific mod you are having trouble with. I also have the 1.61 patch. Please note some mods havent been updated to use the 1.61 patch yet.

There is no easy way around this. You have to know which changes they made. You have to search the files, find the changes, do a copy and paste of the changes from one file to the other. The easiest to figure out are the XMLs. Python is not so easy and requires a basic understanding of programming.

Fat32 refers to the file setup on your harddrive. You will most likely need to reformat your harddrive to NTSF standard. FYI ther is also Fat8,Fat16, and Fat64 file formats. most harddrives over 8 gigs will need to use NTSF standard to operate correctly. If this helps I have a K7N2 Delta series...
