Ok, I only have the vanilla version of Civ 4 still, I cut up my credit cards when I FINALLY paid off my debts, and there is NOWHERE around here that sells mac games so I cannot get WArlords. But I want to add a little spice into Civ 4 again.
Can anyone recommend a good mac mod that will add...
What does it matter if they are an empire builder or not? It is pretty much impossible to sustain a huge empire early in civ 4...at least in my experience. In civ 3 i would just take over a few neighboors and i would be a colossus but in 4 this doesn't seem to be a good idea.
i always automate my workers. i just wanted to do that while i got used to civ 4 but now i feel i am ready to take the next step in advancing my game. i am not sure when to build farms, cottages, mills etc.. any advice? i know the computer gives those little blue circles for suggestions, and...
you go out there and conquer an arab city with a neglegible military force and see how long it takes before your head is lopped off on youtube. i think it is accurate.
yeah but artillery isn't reusable anymore is it? how often does your artillery survive that encounter with a stack of panzers? i still think they should work them in somehow, but change them from cv 3.
i agree that civ 3 colonies wouldn't work but the concept of colonies should be looked at i think. look at what it did for denmark, england, spain, france etc...it's not like they were a minor part in civilization's development.
it would be cool if the colonies you set up were like cities...
well it cannot be denied that missiles are a HUGE part of a modern military. remember shock and awe? i think they should be included. i used to love using them in civ 3.
yeah i know what you mean. i am in a situation right now where without oil i cannot possibly be the dominant military force that i have been, and the oil is located fairly far from me on the other side of japan whose dispotion towards me has never been better than annoyed (currently it is...
what would your perfect fat cross be? i mean terrain/resource wise. this would probably depend on individual strategy somewhat which is why i am asking.
yeah yeah we have nukes, but what about regular missiles? i should be able to launch a volley of scuds into enemy cities from my cities or naval units. what happened to missiles?
i think resources should be more abundant in civ, but that you should need a certain amount to support a certain population...and units. the fact that ONE source of oil can support my huge late game armies for as long as i need it to is ridiculous. or one source of wheat for ten million people...
what happened to colonies? so now if there is a resource i need that is beyond my cultural borders i have to build a city there just to get it? even if my economy is stretched as it is? i don't like that very much...or am i missing something?
ok how about scenarios? there are surprisingly few included with the original game and i haven't ordered warlords yet....(stupid christmas)
i loved the north africa campaign and i am currently spreading roman goodness throughout the world in the greek one but after that i will have no more...
