I still forget to monitor the luxury slider and make my capital riot in the early stages of the game. It's not that big of a hit on Regent/Monarch, but playing on Emperor that 1 turn could mean getting that source of iron or not.
Emperor on any map type any start w/ random civ. I'll play Demi-god occasionally if I want a challenge, but I'm a bit more picky about my starting location (usually fresh water at the very minumum).
Yea, I found the monastary to. However, I did not find the gold artifact. That would be a huge boost.
On another side note I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but I have two profiles on my PS3 and each keeps their own seperate game files and such. On one profile when I start as...
I don't know if you noticed, but when attacking with a unit you see a little bonus that says either Cheiftain or Warlord with 100% and 50% respectively. This mean your unit is getting this attack/defense bonus. In essence it is your units that are overpowered. By ramping up the difficulty your...
Speaking of those artifacts, I finally found Atlantis, but am having a hell of a time getting that thrid artifact. Anybody else find it? Or does it just not exist?
I have seen this as well, but only when the camp hold three or more units. If it's two or less I can set a caravan right next to the camp forever and they won't come out to attack it.
I use my early warrior armies to defend my cats. Has worked pretty well so far. Only downside is if you dont have a city nearby the enemy then travel time is horrible.
It's the same physical map but the starting locations are moved around a bit and the resources are in different places. I use two different logins on on PS3 and I've had this happen twice on both.
I was very pleasantly surprised. I had plated CivII on PSone way back in the day and while it was playable, the controls were definately cumbersome. The controls on this are so streamlined and they seem to be very intuitive. Combat is easy enough to get ahold of and armies (especially with a...
RoN is good, but I prefer the Total War series. Shogun was a masterpeice and the two Medievals are hella close. Then you've got AoE II. I can't even begin to tell you how many hours of my life were wasted on that game. I've lost months of my life I can't get back.
Far as his Immortals are concerned you've got two options. Like bob above posted you can send a pike or musket with your stacks and let them do the defending. Or you can wait for the immortals to come into your territory then pick them off with your beserks. Once the flow of Immortals slow then...
As posted here immediately is usually the best option, although having some marketplaces/courthouses up before you switch will definately help keep you from losing alot of gold in the early stages of your new republic. The only exception I can think of would be if you were in a golden age/war...
I go to the store only to buy groceries (to eat) and on occassion to peruse the fine females. Though when you pick up women at a grocery store they tend to have alot of baggage (like kids) so I go like once a month when absolutely necessary. I get my toothpaste, shampoo, soap, deaordorant and...
