I started a game as Germany and they still felt very lackluster. I had a large military but was mostly out produced and out tech'd. This might have been a poor build order on my part, but I'm usually in the top 3 Civs. Maybe others have had another experience with Germany.
So I was playing as France and ahead of everyone scientifically but could not build the Louvre in any of my cities. I didn't see any prereqs in the description and like 25 turns later Ethiopia built it. WTF?
Did I miss something very obvious here?
Yea - I kind of like them just due to the fact that the desert area is a crap place for most civs to do combat and expand in, however Morocco excels in this area allowing them to grab up unwanted terrain - and actually turn a profit doing it.

I haven't gotten to the Berber Cavalry but they seem decent. I've just tried to grab as much desert as possible.
I can't decide if morocco is better as a Tradition civ or a Liberty Civ. The Desert Folklore really helped me out - got religion first even...
