Civ VII how people get it all wrong...

Civ4 was best. I miss worldbuilder. Most games, i would from time to time load worlbuilder and apply a touch or two to the map to suit my purposes better. Nothing much, just changing a fish tile to be near a new city, changing a couple tundra tiles to steppes... Also when i was bored of the game...

    Districts in Civ VII

It's true that modern urban sprawls can get huge, like the boston washington dc corridor. I hope the next Civ7 game (which anyways is probably in a late stage of the dev cycle so too late for us to make a dent in any case) has 25 tiles where there used to be 4 tiles. If you balance the attack...

    Districts in Civ VII

Districts only make sense as a form of playing with terrain adjacency bonuses. Why would you want districts in the same tile? Just remove districts altogether. To be honest, i never liked districts anyways. They de-geographyse the game, make it arcade-ish. I don't like districts and i don't like...

Anyone else wanting a more "geographical" experience for Civ 7?

I know i'm on the minority position here, but i don't care at all about every tile being gorgeous. Actually, the best way to make a gorgeous map is to make so many tiles that one can recreate the 'photography of the Alps snow capped from a plane', ie, very wide mountain ranges with many valleys...

But those tiles would be much more simple and smaller

Anyone else wanting a more "geographical" experience for Civ 7?

Personally, i think that the series has veered too far into arcade gameplay style. Note that ironically, i like a lot Civ6's aesthetic and graphical style. But, i miss Civ4's ability to create sprawling empires with dozens of cities. I need more of that. I don't like playing tall. I wish the...

    New sub-forum for Civ7?

Heyy! I roamed this forum so much 10 years ago. It feels good to be back. I came here looking for discussion and speculation for Civ7, but am seeing nothing, so i'm asking if it's possible to inaugurate a new sub-forum for Civ7 related topics (mainly news, rumors, commenting on what you'd like...

    Civilization 6: Ideas

Based on the release dates of all the Civilization titles, 6 should have been at least announced. Civ 4 came in 2005, Rev in 2008, Civ5 in 2010, CivBe 2014. Firaxis is big. They should be working on it right as we speak, and, I would bet, in a very advanced stage.

Catalonia 2014. All you need to know in 40 paragraphs or so.

Actually in this you might be correct. For the rest of Spain, talking about the concept of 'Madrid' is talking about the government, the elite, the "caste", and many times in my post I have named this group as 'Madrid'. I see your point in that maybe I show Madrid too exaggeratingly...

Catalonia 2014. All you need to know in 40 paragraphs or so.

Madrid is as conservative in this political sense as any european capital could be. It may be nowadays more a bit conservative than other cities, but this is something very changeable. It was as conservative and bastion of Francoism 40 years ago as it was the epicenter of communism and...

That's another of the set of excuses set by the secessionists. It went out of style some time ago, I had already actually forgotten about it.

I write this to put order in my head and to provide some civilized public into this topic: So, here we are, in Catalonia. Some people may think: Some people, especially the other two main catalan representatives in this forum, are slightly more excited. The Catalan Question: Here I'm...
