not even slightly. it's exactly the same game - with a whole bunch of extra content on top. there's no reason to play any other version than bts - unless you want to miss out.

i went straight to bts after 3 or 4 vanilla.... and ignored warlords cause you just loose the scenarios (i think).... add bhruics patch and there's nay reason to stick with vanilla....

the idea: i'm heading for a tight space victory so get back ahead on score as an insurance policy the plan: nuke mao zedong back to the stone age and capitulate him once he can have a civilised conversation the result: one turn after irradiating every one of his cities, kublai kahn snaps...

much kudos to bhruic for ze patches... just recently upgraded to bts and loving it... one small thing i've noticed - i'm unable to completely clear down the build queue in a city in bts (am sure i could in vanilla)... it's nothing major - but a slight pain in't arse... for example, last...
