    I am no python expert. Far from it. Can you print out log info in that routine (ie add print to a log file), or throw up a dialog box with info at various points in the funtion? For example, it would be helpful to know which False it is returning. (if it is the later part that is an issue)...

    I don't really have an opinion on this. Just throwing this out: what about having 1 typed, and 2 untyped GPP? Would reduce the influence, but not remove it.

    Fort spamming

    Will the Kuriotates also have a higher upkeep for fort commanders? I think in my last game using them, I only used settlements if I needed culture to expand to more than 9 tiles.

    You have to lure them out, then dispatch them. Such a pain when Orthos is in a ciry. You need to park a scout outside for him to kill, then take him. Doesn't always work though. A warrior may come out instead.

    Regarding the elves... Can't you just make it so it takes twice as long to gain population (that is, twice the food)? This would not necessarily reduce population size, but would slow them down. Then if you really, really don't want them to get to large, increase unhappiness per population...

    Doesn't Enchantment give :) and Life give :health: for "everyone"? For balance, maybe some mana should give opposite effects. Maybe Entropy could give :mad: and Death :yuck: (or the other way around). Or does entropy already cause decreased healing... Or you could tie effects to civs, but...
