I am not an expert with Babylon but you can check this thread to learn more about their potentials : https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/cfc-fastest-standard-settings-deity-science-victory.649761/page-7
One thing is to delay the activation of great scientists, boost every techs you can boost...
Vietnam is my new favorite civ. Already won both a science and culture victories with them. Domination looks a really good win con with them aswell.
Probably settle in place, there is no real reason to move.
The extra slot of economic card is really interesting but I have to say that I am less hype by KK than by the new game mode and especially by the new district. For now, I find that KK doesn't bring anything really new to the game, unlike Vietnam, the new district and the new game mode.
They really want us to play tall. The change of rationalism, the adjacency bonus of Entertainment Complexes, the new non-specialty district, Vietnam. I like this kind of gameplay : focus on maybe less cities but biggest cities than usual. I doubt that it will be faster than Peter or the other...

I recommend Horsemen or Swordsmen instead of warriors. With Magnus and a couple of builders you can chop the woods and ressources on your land and pump units that way. It is worth to spend a couple turns on a builder and chop your units...
Several pantheons look good with this start. I guess my decision will depend on the first few turns. As there is no city-states a pantheon giving culture could be good if the map goes there.
Meh... They were probably right about your attitude after all.

Agreed on that. A scout can first meet city states and take goodie huts faster > that means more gold. With that gold you can purchase units or builder to chop units. scout > slinger > settler can be good but I'd say 2 x scout > settler is better. That depends if you have really good tiles to...
Wholly agreed on that point. This is why I still have fun playing the Game of the Month games, because I know the moderators are always making a fun game to play.
I agree that even reaaly bad starts can be beaten on deity. But at what cost ? If I had to build units, chops a few ones to defend myself that means I can't build some key wonders, or setup some faith economy monumentality and the game is already boring to me. I can win pretty much every game on...
I agree on that point and difficulty is not the point of the problem. It is merely impossible to me to have a map playable when I try to. I mostly do the Game of the Month because I have the certitude the map will be playable. I don't know what they have changed in the game but the spawns are...
