  • Hey Erez I have started work on a draft bill for this turn based on what we've already agreed upon, but we still have a lot to decide. We especially need to think about what to do about the latest twist in the Gaul saga, and also this thing that Immaculate has proposed. Any chance I might catch you on skype today? I'm on now if you're available, if not maybe later on?

    Let me know :)
Duh, I want to join. I was lurking and I was about to join when 2 epic opportunities (GODNES? SUPERPOWERS NES?) opened up. So right now i'm on the fence and I'm asking a good friend on the inside about whether it is worth it.
Convince me to join (as a popularis) in SPQR. I just joined a few other NESes and am quite busy, but if you can convince me I'll jump right in. :)
Nope. The rules read 'Legions may only be built from the Republic treasury.' Because the rebel government technically has a Republican treasury, it can still build Legions.
Remember, historically the Legions were recruited from Iberia at this point.
If consuls are against each other in the event of a civil war, both sides the Consuls are on will be classed as governments vying for the rightful rule of Rome. As such both will have their own separate treasuries funded by provinces loyal to the government, and will both be able to build Legions.
If a gridlock happens before a civil war, then the money will be banked. When the governments split due to the war, then the bank will be split evenly as well.
So, no, but you can recruit Legions immediately if a civil war does start.
Yeah, but I figured it wasn't really worth a response. The patrician rebels in Italia ARE that selfish, the deserters who have picked up their arms aren't exactly rebels but are more very well trained bandits, and the Plebs aren't really going to join up with a campaigning army to deal with 100 patricians they don't like, because Plebs as a rule are more of an angry mob type.
    You have 7000 thousand.

    Seven Thousand Thousand
    7,000,000
Seven Thousand Units of a Thousand Men per Unit
Seven Units of a Thousand Thousand Men per Unit
    FYI:

    ----------
The new force, numbering in the 7000 thousand is quickly sent back by the many new latin militia men

    For you.

    Also,

Finally – The Kele is victorious in all fronts, and the Fisofi are on the run.
    ----------
Kele are the slaves. You can say Kelelites, or Slavers. You can say Dega, or Urban Famiies, or you can say Nogaia, the urban culture of the island.

Hey. If I join SPQR I'll probably be Populares/Pragmatic because it is easier for me that way. Going to wait after my update.
Hey Erez, I need a response on the UU idea below for my orders.

Also I had a idea for a project in the style of the Roman Lustrum, a religious feast. I invest in it and once it is completed the progress goes back to 0 etc.
The finished project will give certain benefits for a few turns (2/3).
Benefits unity, better harvest (economy), morale something like that.
Hey, I'll get orders in when I can. This week has been super busy, I haven't gotten any orders done. I work until midnight today then have to get up at 9 the following morning and will have to work until about midnight again, then I plan on coming home and collapsing into bed.
    Question/idea spewing time!

I was thinking, first; currently the cittabacco military doesn't, in general, use the bow. Militia mostly have slingrts etc and populum sanctum are "heavy" infantry.
Secondly; The Latin horde on the other hand no doubt contains some skilled archers, I mean horde... 17000 militia...
thirdly; the unit list doesn't contain a regular archerunit.
Idea: the cittabacco incorporate the bow into their military by recruiting archers from the horde leading to a new unique unit. Think horde archers, not very disciplined but very skilled, raidertype sodiers.

What do you think? Do you agree and if so what would they cost?
