What would you do? Plant your original city next to a river, or go one tile off and plant it next to a mountain?

He declared war on me around turn 85, and his troops have been able to run thru forests for more than 50 turns. Is he doing something to get them to have their +1 move, even without a GA? If so, I'll have what he's having!

Pictish Warrior -> Gunships is simply awesome! I made 5 of the pups, and they were excellent mopper-uppers. They were also ok in hit-n-runs on cities. I like having a couple of gunships help me break out of a beachhead, as well.

That wonder building policy is the meat and potatoes in a wonder-building game. If I'm lucky enough to get marble with a couple hills, look out! Set the manufactories, and pump out a wonder every ten turns, give or take a couple. A couple more manufactories, and it's every 6 turns or so.

I scrapped my game. Just one of those neverending - bad luck kind of deals. No horses around. Also, I was 6th, then 5th in the science race. I was hated by everyone but Liz... and you know how that goes. Then looking deeper into it, I was ignoring things I shouldn't have been... religion spread...

I always build workshops like the 2nd building, after monument. Also helps to get Ironworks. Granaries get built sooner if the city has deer, wheat, or bananas. Later if it doesn't. Windmill/Water Mill if the city doesn't produce many hammers. Aqueduct gets built once the hammers are up...
