    Final Fixes Reborn

    I 100% concur.

    Weakest or most challenging civs

I agree that there are standouts when it comes to being too strong but not these three, IMHO. Khazad are mediocre-to-good, Bals are mediocre, Ljos I consider one of the weaker civs in the game. Three strongest civs are in no particular order: 1) Malakim 2) Illians These two are kinda the same...

Why cant Stealth Bombers land on Carriers?

I would argue that it would be better to restrict all bombers to cities only. And also give them a penalty to attacking ships. Because honestly, when i see a carrier full of B-17 (which alone makes me cringe) perform an attack on enemy fleet with same efficiency as if they were land units or...

Dual leader first look Gorgo [Greece]

So she is in a base game and not bundled in a scenario-DLC? Kinda surprised, but ok. Still would prefer Leonidas or Alexander for military-themed Greece

    Cultural Diversity

I just upgraded to latest version of CulDiv and stumbled upon bug (maybe?) - when playing as Japan unit voices use Chinese lines and not Japanese. Music and fonts are ok though. I tried to reinstall but to no avail. Mods in use: Vox Populi, CulDiv, Events Compendium, RED modpack

    Russia First Look [Peter]

Why? Where did "twice as many trade routes" come from? Just because Russia is encouraged to build commhubs? Well duh, Rome is encouraged as well. Spain is encouraged. Britain is encouraged (and even better at it because of cheap and free harbor). Germany is encouraged (AND have additional...

    Russia First Look [Peter]

Nobody mentions this because this is plain wrong. It provide science or culture based on yours and your neighbor's difference, not "what you need more". You want that sweet sweet science? Too bad, he is as backward as you, but here, have some culture! Also you gain that bonus only if you are...

    Russia First Look [Peter]

But Captain Hook wasn't born with a hook on his hand, right? It kinda makes sense now. Peter during late part of his reign gets really tired of all this ruling thing, secretly builds himself a ship, stages his own death due to disease and goes on a last adventure, a second tour to Europe so to speak

    Russia First Look [Peter]

Eagle warrior and Conquistador (also arguably Mamluk) are pretty wow'y to me. completely disagree. I would pick Unique industrial district in place of every other type despite it being the latest to research because - as you said - production wins games. Aqueducts are relatively late districts...

    Russia First Look [Peter]

i also thought about Peter's historical obsession with shipbuilding and naval trade expansion. Hell, he founded St. Petersburg for the sole purpose (well, ok, not sole, but one of the most important) of having trading port in Baltic sea. What if in addition to science/culture yields Peter had...

    Russia First Look [Peter]

Yeah, Montezuma's raids for slaves, Harald's plundering adventures, Trajan's expansion in old good roman tradition, Peter carving up place for his capital out of enemy's territory, Gilgamesh having fun with his friends in joint wars - all peace and love, i agree.

    Russia First Look [Peter]

My 2 cents: the Russian bonuses are ok: - Extra tiles on founding - ok, i can buy that, fitting and useful - +1 p +1 f - well, that's not bad, but can we build farms on tundras? If not plains start would still be preferable - Lavra - ugh, religion focus it is. Ok, whatever. One free tile per use...

First Look: Russia (unofficial Let's Play)

I'll be an optimist here: in all these let's plays from 29th Egypt, China and Brazil are not available despite them being announced a bazillion years ago and also being available in previous pre-release games. Reason being - i assume - them being worked on extensively in balance perspective. So...

    Japan

I still think that Japan needs some love. I thought about it for a while, what could be done with it without too much work and would still be good. Apart from returning bushido to previous iteration (i.e. all types of units and from turn 1) with tandem with new GWAM spam - which i am sure will...

    Sept 22 AI Discussion

I think the problem lies in Greece's REXing and keeping up with their infrastructure while neglecting their military somewhat - and Ed mentions it. So they had the ability to build units but gold for possible upgrading of early units was spent elsewhere (for example, builders or buildings).
