It's the logical successor of Civ Rev and Civ 5. I wonder if we will ever see a good civ again :sad:

I've finally learned: Never pre-order a game without having played at least a beta. Never trust "professional" reviews.

As long as we don't know who is taking over it's hard to say if this helps CiV to become what most expected it to be from the start. However, this makes me feel hope again.

I'm sorry, but I beg to differ with your second sentence. The fault is in the designer not aiming for the fans of previous Civ-titles. But I agree that it is not the fault of the software engineers.

@Pawel: I think you agree that the percentage of disappointed fans is hard to estimate. Subjectively I say that it is very large, based on the fact that all of my long-term civ-contacts (about 10 people) have stopped playing CiV after a month latest and all of them feel like this. Also...
