The issue here is that Hammurabi has the civic where no non-state religion can spread. All you can do is wait for him to switch (or apply some friendly pressure :) )

I think it is great and has really got me back in to Civ4. I think colonies are a bit disappointing but overall it is definitely worth the £££.

I did in the other Civ's but I went 'cold turkey' for Civ 4. Definitely the best way :goodjob:

I definitely think the AI competes with you to complete quests. I had one to settle x number of cities on y different land masses for some benefit (sorry I forget what :-) ). Almost straight away after I noticed Ghandi had started building ridiculous cities that all happened to be on...

Do the cities of your vassal ever switch to your Civ due to cultural influence (like other AI cities do) or are they immune as they are technically 'on your side'?

I don't have figures to hand to be sure but another issue with PC gaming is piracy. A quick search on any of the torrent sites will show Civ4, Warlords and BtS all ready to be downloaded and burnt. Major potential sales are being lost this way. I think until this is seriously looked at, PC...

I think you should be able to set a group of cities as a colony and then they are given a new leader but not are not considered a new Civ. So even though that leader can build units, buildings etc you can easily override him if you choose (to stop him building his 100th caravel ffs!!)...

I think colonies. I like the idea that cities could break away of their own accord rather than you explicitly having to give them permission.
