Crashes allocating video memory
About every 20 turns the game crashes saying not enough video card memory. If I load the last autosave (I autosave each turn) I can play for another 20 or so turns.
I installed AND only, standard map, most game options switched on.
I never had memory-issues...
Hi, I just read this thread for the first time, searching around after being so disappointed of CivV. I am a big fan of Ice and Fire and love the idea of making a game out of it.
I think we should talk about the major design decisions. I am not intend to offend in any way, but: do you really...
One basic decision would be, if the effect of negative happiness is nationwide or city specific.
In CivV happiness is a per-nation value, not a per-city value as in former versions. Therefore I would prefer only nation-wide effects of negative happiness / dark ages.
If we want...
Maritime CS could provide ships and concentrate on the ship-technologies. Could be quite useful if you don't have this technologies and so get modern ships for free.
Agricultural CS could provide their excess food to exactly one of your cities and you can change this food-city anytime.

Wouldn't be a much simpler solution just 7UPT instead of 1UPT? For the movement of units it would have a similar same effect as 7 small hexes. The direct front of a war would miss some tactical possibilities compared to 7 subhexes, but there...
I support all this ideas.
In addition: more technologies should provide bonus to tile improvements, e.g. Dynamite give +1 to mines, Biologie +1 to farms ...
I agree to the overall idea of this thread, I especially like the term "dark age".
However we should consider how it came to the negative happiness and what are the possibilities to go back into positives. There should be a constructive way back.
Just an example from my current game. I...
@PyroMancer
I think this is a great approach to make the happiness system much more realistic without completly changing it.
I would make two smaller changes:
Your topic 3)
Not the distance from the capital decides which city revoltes first but the duration that each city belongs to your...
