I was pretty sure you can randomize the map size... But besides that yea just leader and civilization I think are the only other randoms.. I like doing random too and wish it would randomize more.

I have played just on normal. Quick would seem to "Arcadish" for me... I think I might try Epic on a big map with a lot of civ's next just to see how I like it.

aliens would be cool after the fact. Like after you win or whatever and it says "The end of history..." and u can keep playing if you want... It would be a cool after-the-credits type of thing. They could come down and totally take control of the least successful civ and then u could play...

if the city is accessible by port, I wouldn't see why not when u can get a destroyer in there which can devestate city defense. Earlier on though I find myself just stacking and attacking. If it's a more worthy opponent I usually have a few catapults or cannons in there... And lets face it...

First off I think it is just coincidence if you think there is too much desert in landscapes in this game. Second, I agree in the fact that a large portion of all the land in the world is desert. Think how big the Sahara is. It is Absolutely Massive!. You also have to think a "desert"...

If you are large enough of a nation and stay ahead technologically with your military and just build some for show, they won't ever attack. Works for me. But I play on lower to medium difficulties too...

Build Too fast and too large, you end up like the actual Russia of the past...Tons of people, huge amount of territory, and way too poor.
