No one has remembered, apparently, the history of Civilization. With the gap in releases, and by feeling of Sid, each new Civ game is supposed to be a large shake-up from the one prior. Those of you wanting a Halo sequel are just being foolish. I would not buy CivV if it was merely CivIV:BtS...
You're telling me you hit multiple unit upgrade huts before 750 AD?
I have to be honest. I've :):):):) myself when I get two upgrade and land at pikemen. I hardly even find one. When you start your game change your difficulty from Settler to King.
Yeah, because regulating your economy should require one click and a drag rather than long-term planning. roflmao
Yeah, you have a guaranteed partner and punching bag. You can pump them up with tech, units, and gold. That certainly makes a game more interesting.
Nuff said.
I want to know why Infantry and Armor have the same health. And why airplanes have the same health as ships. THERE ARE MORE PLANES IN A SQUADRON THEN SHIPS! THEY SHOULD HAVE DIFFERENT HEALTH!
I'm going to have to go with:
Pics or it didn't happen. You guys are coming up with some pretty extreme examples. I've watched a frigate pummel spearmen turn after turn and not kill them. I've been bombarded by archers while I charge their position. I just...don't get it.
If something is more difficult and requires more multi-tasking then "move that slider"...
If something isn't there that provided pure entertainment value...
If removing an item that upgrades itself over time...
If separating what used to be one item into several different items...
I just don't understand why Civ hasn't, over it's decade+ of games, hasn't commissioned a full and detailed study of military units.
I mean, it's not like there is still controversy over the use of certain military units in certain military battles. Everyone is in complete agreement over which...
Personally I think all units should have range. I think that would be epic. I mean, infantry battles in Iraq/Afghanistan were always won at range. Same with every other battle. WWII, Korea, Vietnam. All of them were fought at range...oh wait.
Or, you could stop bawwwing and develop a strategy. Here's one: Two musketmen per archer. Or, a cannon. Or, your own archers. Or, cavalry. I mean, good lord.
The units exist as they are for balance reasons. You cannot have everything long-range.
