I just checked my CPU usage in game, and it seems to mostly range between 30%-50%. I don't know if this is normal, but seems ok to me.
Here is the video I sent to 2k to show the issue, not that it is hard to find on task manager, but might help:
For me and my friends, windows always runs Civ6 in 'below normal' priority mode. Before the most recent Music Bug fix update you could change this by going into task manager while running the game, clicking on the 'details' tab, right click on 'sid meier's civ6...' and 'set priority' to 'Normal'...
Yes warring is weaker on online speed, therefore much harder to gain advantage over the AI. And I think Lily wanted this more challenging version of war in his games, so he is forced to do more empire building rather than always war.
It depends how you see the game, what you are looking for in...
A few posts further up Lily Lancer says that he thinks Online speed is most balanced for AI Combat and World Era. And I seem to recall generally reading his posts back then, he had issues of balance with the slower speeds. I think it mostly comes down to how good you are at the game and how much...
I've played around with One-City Challenge quite a bit. Science and Diplomacy VC's are certainly doable on Deity, Domination gets really weird because is it still OCC when you take other capitals, I'm not sure? Culture Victory is where I have struggled on this challenge, I have done it on lower...
I agree that civ6 has limits to expansion too, which kinda conflicts with your previous post about painting the map with borders until there is no land left. Both games have limitations on expansion and growth, and I think the civ6 system of amenities and housing is probably better than civ5s...
I'm not sure what you are disagreeing with in the post, I agree with everything you put there. Most mods that fix the civ5 policy trees only require small tweaks to Piety and Liberty to make them work, and getting lots of early expansions out was always strong with a religion (even in vanilla...
I don't think the happiness system in Civ5 was perfect, but conversely we have also seen with Civ6 that if we remove punishments from the game and instead provide too many benefits to expansion, then going wide becomes the default option, and then we end up with the same issue, but now in...
I think it's a shame that the policy cards are so shallow in civ6, generally just defaulting to the cards that give the most yields at any given point in time with no consideration for grand strategy. Like a lot of the mechanics in civ 6, there is a focus on min/max, gamey elements and less...
My general advice, once you clear early barb camps, make sure to leave units in areas to reveal the fog of war if you don't want more camps spawning there (barb camps will not spawn on tiles that are seen by a unit.)
Yeah I don't understand it. I doubt it would have been a design choice. Seems more like an oversight. I mean if it was intended, why does it allow you to create seaside resorts beyond the 3 tiles? Also, the resorts do show a tourism icon (except tourism doesn't accumulate) so why does the icon...
Just a quick update if anyone is interested. I rushed through the last 40 turns to finish the game off. It turns out that National Parks can only earn tourism if at least one of the four tiles is within the 3 tile range of a city. As you can see in the south-east of the city, I have a National...
Yes I understand why the locations to the north west didn't appear for the first naturalist, but I was just confused why it will now let me choose between two valid spots, when it would not let me choose from two valid locations to the south. Like you said, maybe it defaults to the highest...
