Steam required DLC

I agree a lot will cave. Those that don't will probably be forgotten by the developers since those that did fall into their trap will now get self-pressured into buying lots of downloadable extra content to make up for the loss of initial sales. I just know I won't be one of them.

Which forums? Was this one used since it is one of the biggest Civ sites and communities out there? I would love to see a few links to the "many forums" of fans that were used, but I doubt I get even a single link. Even more shocking would be if these people actually said please force us...

As I stated on the official 2K forums... I do not want to install any 3rd party program and be required to keep that software on my system and running for as long as I want to play Civ V. I don't want to accept a user agreement and set up a user name and password for that 3rd party...

I would have no problem with a company offering incentives (cheaper price, etc.) if you buy electronically but to require it seems absurd.
