I read (i think it was here) that they found traces of religion code in game. The concensus was, they HAD a working religion...feature...it just got removed.... As per civ game, wait till a few more patches or a few more x-packs roll in =)

I miss them for nostalgias sake =P...but since most of my purchases are digital...and there are forums...yeah.
