    Happiness bonus and unhappiness reductions Great Library is an over rated wonder. There are more important things to build early on generally, like some additional units.

    They will become friends for 20 turns. So depends on how long the road is and if you have better improvements to build. Delete a road after and they might ask for the quest again.

    Promoting to composites is working as intended. Units have to return to your borders after researching optics to get the embarkation promotion
