Very impressive. I second this. Good to see somebody with such a keen interest! These are the type of people they should have working for Civs!

Steam made me quit Civilization for good

This. I love Steam and ever since I have been introduced to it (Civ5 was my first game) I have been using it since. I was weary of it too at first but if you give Stream an honest chance, you'll realize how fantastic it really is.

How well do you play when severely intoxicated?

Ahahahahah this exactly..! Especially those first policies, I can NEVER decide no matter what and end up reloading over and over... only to end up wrapped up in the music or a diplomacy screen instead...!

    Does computer stack units?

China's unique unit the Cho Ko Nu crossbowman has more than one attack per turn as its unique ability. Enemy AI uses one shot per Cho Ko Nu and rotates to the next, but ultimately completes all multiple attacks. This will cause the camera to appear as if more than one Cho Ko Nu is shooting at...

I want my WWII moment, advice?

Play a higher difficulty! I had your exact problem ... then I realized that I had the most fun when I was the most challenged and the game felt like an uphill battle. Try working your way towards Emperor and Immortal -- those two are typically fun without having very strict game play method...

    Japan vs. Mongolia vs. China

Yeah, Keshiks are extremely broken. I love playing Mongolia, but its true, I have kept keshiks to wipe out tanks when they become fully promoted. Minimum dmg? No problem when you have +1 range, +1 additional attack and can scale half the map before they even see you!

Expansion Packs: Not What They Used to Be *Opinion Thread

This. Many of you neglect to propose a modern business model that actually works. So much has changed within the past ~5 years since with Civ5, I think many of you must not realize it. It is so difficult to make a profit, especially since the quality of video games is exponentially greater every...

Singapore Destoyed Babylon: Had to share this!

Yeah, i have mostly seen City States puppet their conquered cities to be honest. Another point, it's almost always Quebec City who does this. I assumed because it was once Copenhagen and they gave them aggressive flavour to match the perception of "aggressive Vikings"?

Why cant both these cities build a stoneworks?

Er? 1 gold maintenance? I'd trade 1 gold for 1 production any day of the week. Consider that it additionally adds 1 happiness and another production on the stone tile -- and that's base production that will be additionally modified by %s. In my opinion, the stone works is always worth building...

    Civs' UUs and UBs...

There are tonnes of UB that western civs could have. Even America, as has been joked in here, has many great historical options for those with legitimate interest in American history .... I don't think it's the lack of options, since I think any given civ in the game currently, somebody could...

    Money troubles

Yeah, connecting trade routes is the only way to generate significant amounts of gold in the early game. Consider the most important factor of trade route income, which is based upon the population on your capitol modified by the population of the city connected. Therefore, farms, in the early...
