Every significant early settlement on the east coast was on a river or at a river mouth. Why? Becuse if you were starting from scratch you had to farm and farming needed fresh water. Makes perfect sense.
A bit late to the party and was wondering if the patches above in this thread have been incorporated into the base game download or if I have to download the patches as well.

2. When I try to install on my laptop with 1440 x 900 display it says it cannot install on anything with a resolution less than 1024x768. Huh????
Great Work as usual Amra. I would like to add my voice to those who would like to see you incorporate Revolutions in a future version. It brings a really nice variation to the game play.
OK this may be a clue for those wiser than I. I found a work around.
I loaded the mod and just clicked on "Play Now". I then went into World Builder, clicked the load button and navigated to the private map folder in the mod and loaded the map. When it loaded, I went into the choose civ menu...
No joy either by the above, using a mod loader or launching from inside a vamilla start. What really baffles me is the save file not showing up in the scenario menu even when I put a copy directly in the BTS map folder.
I also notice the error message wen I click the actual worldbuilder save...
I am having problems with this also. I have extensive experience with using mods and scenarios and it is installed in the normal fashion and I do not see any special instructions. I can get the mod to load but the maps do not appear under scenarios whether I have them as privatemaps or as public...

As to ideas, Google images, there are have a dozen famous paintings of Ivan the Terrible that should give you some ideas.
When I unzipped i got error messages on mongol and native american units. I tried to download aganin but the same thing happend. Horsemen on mongols. Bowmen and crossbowmen on native americans.
Ok so I did the delete and reinstall thing and got ROM to run. I have nothing other than what is in the ROM download associated with that mod. While it runs, at the end of each turn I get a full page of python errors. No obvious interference with gameplay but I am no expert. Anyone got any clues...
