No point of explaining how to turn it off when the post directly above my previous post says how, and yeah the documentation is a bit lacking, lots of descriptions are wrong and the civilopedia in game needs a lot of work.
Realistic culture spread has a good algorithm (hence "realistic") it adds depth and strategy so good players keep it on, claiming tiles with units and building culture becomes more valuable and less repetitive and predictable. Just turn it off instead of whining like a baby.
Yeah I'm playing with those on already. Currently in a game where the AI is sending it's stack and then just retreats without doing anything, even though it could bombard defences to 0% and take the city next turn. I think I'll just learn to play Zeta's chronicles of mankind, seems like all the...
Any planned future development for the AI code? the mod is in a really good place right now, all the units/buildings/civics...etc are really well done and balanced. Biggest problem is the AI by far if anyone out there decides to pick up this project again hopefully that'll be a priority. :)
Reason I'm asking is because I've been playing ROM: A New Dawn for several years and I'm now beating deity and the AI can never catch up to me once I start snowballing in classical age. It's not updated anymore so it's time to move on.
I've played a few hours each of C2C, RI, FFH and I'm...
I play realism speed, no tech trading, no tech transfer. I think the building construction time and worker improvement turns are way too slow compared to how fast techs accumulate and how fast cities grow. The result is having an excessive number of buildings and tiles that can't be built/improved.
A lot of this is how I have been playing so far and similar style to rise of mankind mod, with the exception of not making warriors first. In rise of mankind we built warriors first cause it was the fastest way to start fog busting but I guess in this mod I have to go worker first.
Thanks and I really like your mod
Edit: I found the manual I didn't even know it existed, gonna read it now. I think it should be a sticky topic.
Is growth important at the start of the game and build a worker from 1pop or grow to size 2/3 first?
What civics do I go for? lots of the ancient/classical civics have negative effects so I don't even know if I should use them
How many workers do I need per city? I notice it takes a very long...
Used to play Fractal only now I only play Smart Map, and even this isn't that great. Sometimes I get isolated starts, sometimes the starting location is awful, sometimes there's no AI nearby.
I've been looking for a good map engine to play on for about 15 years, I've yet to find it.
I've been researching this and people are saying to change CIV4HandicapInfo.xml and use Flexible Difficulty. So according to this site.
If I'm understanding this then I have to change the values for the AI under Noble because that's...
