    Win 7 beta+ BtS= Graphics Issues

Yea, my bad BtS is patched to 3.17. When I was trying to install the games patching Civ 4 to 1.74 before installing BtS would cause BtS to not run. Patching it to 1.61 then letting BtS patch it 1.74 worked just fine (exept for the graphics glitches).

    Install problems on Vista

What's the InstallShield Installation Information file for Beyond the Sword? I'm having a similar problem trying to get BtS running in windows 7 beta 64. I got Civ4 working well, but no joy for BtS so far.

    What do you think of...

The unrestriced leader option can not only provide benefits but also provide challenges as well... Try having Tokugawa of Rome as a neighbor when your playing Pacal II of India...Ouch, ouch, ouch :)

    What do you think of...

I think it's the Viking civ that rocks on archipelago maps not Ragnar. Having naval units that start with nav.I is very nice, add a drydock, 1st circumnavigation and refrigeration and your ships are true greyhounds of the seas! Plus with theology city raider2 berserkers are great proto-marines...

How often do you play the Romans.

I usually play a unrestricted leaders game. One of my favorite combinations is Churchill of Rome :)

    A Three Square Canal???

Ta know this game is just so broad I've totally spaced out canals... Guess I'll just have to fire up the 18civ map play as America and kick some Aztec butt and try out my own version of the Panama Canal.

    Colonies

Reducing maintenance costs. Having an ally that will vote your way, and declare war on your enemies ect.. But I mostly use them for reducing the costs of a large empire (their land area counts toward a domination victory).

Best way to get lvl 6 unit without great general?

Privateers are a great way to get there, but so is selecting the raging barbarians option. It'll give you plenty of fodder for toughening up units.

    Raging Barbarians

Their crazy but not impossible to deal with, and yes they can take down civs... Even yours if you don't build a proper military. I like this option I'll rush up the Great Wall and let my rivals take the brunt of it. I'll also rotate units into the hinterlands to toughen them up before a nice war.

Best Way To Attack Heavily Railroaded Empires?

Cavalry... Lots of cavalry or gunships. spread them out and destroy the rail lines.

What is the one Tech you HATE to trade

I keep forgetting about that option. I generally don't play with any options except raging barbs and turning off time and cultural victories.
