Hi duplj, wonderful work, is there any chance you can remove the AI cheats about the use of nuclear weapons? Civ2 strategy litterally get destroyed as the AI can magically make appear a nuclear missle anywhere in the map and hits cities that would otherwise normally be out of range.

I am not entirely sure this is true, I activated the cheat mode and took possession of the civ which bombarded me the turn before. It did not have any sub in the range, no hidden cities in range of mine which could host a nuclear missile and I did another thing, I reloaded the save before the...

I never realized in 20 years or so how the AI in Civ2 cheats so heavily that it totally ruins the game, at least in MGE (I played for years in PS1 but I do not remember this extensive cheating). I knew for example that the AI is not affected by trireme limitations, that it has some productivity...

These could be feasible even in the current MGE edition (maybe in the CIVUIA edition): - differentiate the maintenance cost of the units in terms of money, for example currently a battleship maintenance cost is the same as a tank, an airplane or a warrior if I am not wrong (always 1 gold)...

On some win10 version the game get stuck the first time you launch it. If you go on the task manager, you will see civ2.exe running even if you never player it. Just kill the process and run it again, it will work.
