Probably hanging gardens because, no matter what difficultly they never build it. This wonder does wonders for my on deity. Another favourite is Notre dame which can make your population, therefore your science and production colossal.
My fastest was when I got the great library and then rushed NC. Luckily I found El dorado, so it didn't slow down my expansion too much. I think that was an emperor Japan, game. I got the. NC around turn 37/38
A good Prince tactic is this: monument, granary, great library. As the difficult gets harder this may not be the best seeing as AI usually get early wonders quicker on emproer and above
I also play on emperor, I would advise you play on an archipelago map because naval domination is in my opinion easier than domination. And I'd puppet most conquered cities
I do try this but that means I have to bulid more workers (or steal but I don't want to ruin all City state relations) to work said tiles. I will prioritize settling in close proximity to luxarys.
I would recommend Civ rev, it's different to the civilization series, but doesn't divert so much so you still feel like your playing a Sid Miers civilization game. Multiplayer wise it's doing pretty good for an older game. I sometimes go online and about 60% of the time find a game within 5-10...
