There’s no way Civ VII will be announced this fall, full stop.

I’m sure we’re going to get a patch fixing bugs at some point. The devs got some much-needed time off after NFP finished and I’m sure in the fall we’ll get a patch. And like @pokiehl said, I’m sure Civ VII is in development already. That’s how AAA game development works. I’d love to see them...

I think they peaked probably between 2005 and 2010. I miss those days. I find that specialized forums tend to be more welcoming and less toxic than social media. But maybe that’s just my rose colored glasses!

80s child here (made that decade by a few months!), joined this forum in probably 2005 but had never voted in this thread. One thing I like about this community is how intergenerational it is! Very different from other gaming forums.

I sure hope they do a spin-off instead of Civ 7. They need to give the series time to breathe before an eventual sequel. Can you imagine going back to just 20 Civs in a base game that releases next year? Personally I’d love to see a fantasy spinoff. And man, they’ve got a tough hill to climb...
