In my game China had the unforunate event of being stuck next to a Rome that quickly defeated Greece and Persia. But Romes route to China was from Rome, past 2 states Rome had puppeted. So the reinforcement line was very long to Beijing. Rome was able to take Shanghai and advance no further...

think how I feel, my laptop overheated and it busted my sound card. Can't listen to any of the new music or voices.....

Looks like one of those problems caused by a graphics card overheat or something. Tried restarting?

I'm playing on Standard and put my Samurai to good use. Will try Marathon next and play as Rome to enjoy the early days more.

I'm having trouble finding where to change it. Playing as Japan I spawned next to Greece and the Ottomans - two countries with whitetish colours on the minimap. I also wish to change China's horrible green colour into a dark red. Where can I go about this?

I'm pretty much a new player to civ 5. I've played lots of games however but not really noticed that much , as I've been playing very easy - Quick games. So for once I decided to stop being such a huge coward and play harder. I did Marathon on Prince. All I noticed was - Techs take...

Switch to strategic view, hold out tab to go to the next window rather then just pressing it once to minimize. Works fine, with strategic view the lag from the game is reduced.

I press prnt screen, yet when I open paint/photoshop and paste, it's just a black space.... What do.

Running at low with fog of war at medium. Runs fine really. You don't notice the slight lag as the game goes by. Of course I don't dare play maps over standard size, as that would be just silly. Luckily I have no interest in such large maps.

It's the 21st century and the poles remain unexplored. :D

High terrain/effects etc. Could walk with no choppiness/lag. Unless I spammed lots of units, but that of course would happen to everyone. :D
