Oh neat! If you're taking suggestions, I've always thought it was weird that all the religions get a civic all to themselves except the Overlords who are somehow still "agnostic" despite literally being called cultists. And also it's kind of weird to have so many units with no ability to upgrade...
Can casting worldspells please get taken off the list of things units are allowed to do when they're automated? It's fairly simple to fix with the expanded worldbuilder tools but it's still really annoying that I have to at all when all I wanted was to not have to micromanage my recon units.
So I know there's a lot of technical reasons that keep tile-based games like civ from having round maps, but I thought of a possible way to spoof roundness in C2C by piggybacking on a feature that already exists: Change the movement costs of the different ocean types. Normal costs in temperate...
I don't think the AI understands terrain damage, no. I've had several coastal/polar cities that they've just sent wave after wave of armies overland to die in the wilderness just outside my border for instead of taking a ship.
Uh, yeah it seems I got them half-mixed up. Whoops. Still though, it's a bit bare-bones and underpowered compared to say, Steampunk or Atompunk.
While checking on that though I couldn't seem to find the resource in the pedia, it's not on the list of cultures and the link on the tech just leads...
I noticed you don't seem to be doing anything with that "crystalpunk" culture resource introduced in v37 yet, might I recommend Disney's Atlantis?
Particularly the ability to just shrug off a city-destroying natural disaster (or possibly a nuclear attack) at the cost of a much smaller chunk of...
So uh, my Moai just stopped working when barbarians pillaged my only source of stone. Like, it makes sense that I shouldn't be able to build with stone, but it's my understanding that any effects from the monolith wonders are mostly cultural rather than actual functions provided by a continual...
The easiest to play is White, barring something like Archeron showing up nextdoor it always plays out the same way and your Doomstack doesn't need to be anything more than a bunch of expendables to function, plus you can adjust your alignment as diplomacy demands without sacrificing efficiency...
The Local Legend is a vampire, generally what I do is keep him safe and grind Morois until they can accept the Gift at which point they're relegated to permanent guard duty. That's a short-term strategy though, it's only good for defense. When you do start getting a supply of Childe vampires you...
You can ignore the penalty by picking Pirates from the civ list while the era is set to Expansion and then switching the era back to Arrival before you start the game. It should appear to switch you back to a random civ but when the map loads you'll still be Pirates.
I don't know what this is, but I get 2 error messages about it failing and the game crashes before I even see AoE's main menu. Using a fresh install of the latest SVN as of last night.
The way mythical animals are currently represented doesn't really make much sense from a historical perspective. Like, there's a reason Africa doesn't have legends about unicorns- nobody that's actually seen a rhinoceros would confuse it with a horse. But most Europeans hadn't seen rhinos...
