Hills next to rivers aren't flood plains so Petra still works for those river tiles.
Nice spawn (OP). I wish the river was closer though. So many hills *_*
In case someone wants to try this without such a spawn, here's one with mountains (therefore you cannot achieve the 36 great person tiles).
Unless OP wants to change map, just take this as a semi-relevant starting save.
How would one spread religion to all cities on OCC? -25% GP Cost?
It seems like the hardest thing to try to sync to the election.
I suppose it's easy if I was the only city still on the map. :)
I guess now's a good time to buy Korea DLC.
Never automate if you're playing a challenging opponent you're serious about. Your workers often take down jungles and forests on random which is terrible. They also run away from barbs, even if I have soldiers in the area. Not very efficient.
I also time all my deforestations when building a...
It depends on what your friends are playing. I don't go for a warfare civ in Multiplayer. I always go wide economy so I can win in whatever way suitable.
If it's super aggressive 2-3 player game, Mongolia. Just rush the heck out of others. Terrible choice if there's 4+ players. Everyone will...
Nukes are plain stupid in multiplayer. Especially with the shared turn spam click. Everybody just rages if they can't get their nuke to fire before their nuke gets nuked by another player first. And interception doesn't work =(
@Above for fast Sci victories. The other element is how many enemy civs. The more enemy civs, the easier the game is for a non-domination victory. Unless it's a 1 vs AI and not FFA. Huge maps are so much easier for a non domination victory. Less likely to run into other borders (unless you're...
Like Denkt said, you can choose one or the other depending on what you want, they don't really step on each other for the same VC goals. I sometimes go Liberty -> Tradition -> Commerce -> One of 3 final cultural trees.
I never choose piety unless I'm going for a cultural victory. By 300 turns...
Play through the game and unlock the resources. Is that new expansion by monty sitting on a lot of resources? Like aluminum/uranium? The AI rushes for cities in the middle of nowhere far far away because they see all the resources from the beginning of the game. Resources they sit on are usually...
You won't found a religion in Diety if you beeline a wonder like GL. Need to expand for extra shrines. or pray to the random number god that going for Stonehenge or 80 faith from ruins is going to get you there.
But considering how hard Diety is and victory only happens in the later half of the...
Scout -> Monument (unfinished) -> Shrine -> Finish Monument -> Worker (unfinished)-> GL/Stonehenge/Library -> Finish worker -> Archer -> Varies
I rush my shrine. I need to pantheon rush or I won't get a religion. I need that early economic boost. Waiting for someone to convert me is too late...
Those are a lot of plantations and those rivers make your whole capital close to impossible to siege in the mid-early game.
Too bad the forests are ruining your hill+archer range =/
But really your spawn is so good for a tall empire.
Some people can give you an exact cell-count for the radius of influence. Each city with a dominant religion will spread equal +# (based on game speed) in a radius, regardless of terrain or what's in between.
A city does not influence itself unless it's the Holy City. The holy city's self...
Theodora is very easy to get along with diplomatically imo. I love playing as dido (but then I don't see her :( ) but her AI is like Monty in all my games :( "OH HAI, DECLARE WAR".
She may be visually appealing but be careful of that surprise elephant that is going for your rear end.
