I still get an error - "An error occurred while updating..."
I have a 2013 MacPro running the latest OS/steam updates.
I tried unistalling and reinstalling CIV 5, verifiying files, and of course the usual restarts, etc.
Looking at the original save -
I noticed you have the Oracle - What tech did you choose?
Were you able to slingshot to something good?
It also looks like you had several great people - how did you use them?
I don't see any settled GP and you didn't found any religions or get an Academy...

* City site planning seemed like it was deemphasized. City placement in Civ 4 can be crucial and it seemed like it doesn't really matter as much in Civ 5.

I would also have gone 1 SW. You get 4 hills to mine/windmill and 6 forests you could chop.
Map type would be critical for 2nd city - Archipelago would require ocean access.
G&K will be the first CIV product I do not buy. I have played CIV 1=>5 & SMAC and the current version of CIV sucks. Sulla's posts nail it and I don't need to rehash it.

Road stacking could be balanced by a combat penalty on the road.
For example an archer at range would hit every unit in the stack.
Stacking limits would be different for Road vs Railroad.
This would also make Airpower devastating, which it should be, on troop concentrations.
I like this idea. A revolution should also impact diplomacy and may cost you some allies.
For a Revolutionary Army - you could add some custom promotions like +25% strength in friendly territory.
You could also have a an option for a great general to occur as a result of a revolution.
