Since upgrading to windows 10, Civ V has worked fine (no crashes) but the textures for terrain aren't loading properly (see image). I have checked graphics settings (in game) and they are what I used to play on in windows 7. Can anyone identify the problem and offer a solution? Thanks.
I've played two games on Deity now and on both I have had the same problem, extreme unhappiness from differing ideologies. I am tending to get second or third ideology and so pick one that hasn't already been taken (for the extra policy) and then the AI tends to split 2/3/3 on the others...
Just started playing on Deity and was watching of Korae's Deity Let's Plays (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjzMep4D4KCwbFyOuc_wz7iPF-NnJrEGG Apr 2014) and he said that giving the AI your embassy encourages them to covet your lands. Is this true? I've always sold the AI my embassy for 1...
Can someone explain the city states become wary mechanic to me. As far as I can tell when you DOW two (or more) city states (for workers) they become "wary". What does this mean? Is it to do with rate of decay of influence?
I heard that the 4 tile rule doesn't apply when the two cities are on different landmasses. I tested it on IGE and as far as I can tell the 4 tile rule changes to the 3 tile rule for cities on different landmasses. 2 tiles is still too close, but you can settle a city three tiles away from...
If you've already checked your citizens are working the right tiles then check the demographics (F9 is the hotkey). That way you will see helpful information like who is first in tech and who is first (and last) in army. If you are last in army this is being broadcast to the other players as...
In response to just your diplomacy issues I find that the hits on your diplomacy are lessened if you denounce the civ before you attack them. Furthermore look at the diplomacy overview and find which civs have been denounced by the other AI. If you denounce them you will gain positive relations...
"+15% :c5food: growth and a free aqueduct in your first four cities"
Does this mean that the +15% :c5food: is in your first four cities or empire wide? Does the "in your first four cities" relate to just the free aqueducts or to the growth as well?
Moved to General Discussions as the topic...
To be honest one of main reasons I chose Russia was for the double Uranium. Does the AI tend to choose and vote for nuclear non-proliferation? If it does I will either need to build all my nuclear weapons before it passes or dominate the late game UN
I'm now consistently beating emperor with the science, culture and diplo victory conditions but tend not to do very well with my domination games. I've only won one as China and decided I want to use Russia next.
I was wondering what should my general strategy starting out be. Are Kreposts...
