Of course I can only represent myself and say what happened to myself.
Same goes for you. Next time something bad happens to you I'll say the same thing back to you, OK? Nice guy?

Well in pg the AI is capable to buy reinforcements in all of its cities. I don't think the AI there remembers every city, they just buy random cheap things and randomly place them.
And that's already better than what civ6 does.
OK. Mine is from Epic games, don't know if it's different.
But pretty sure it happened as on Epic games it only has a launch button nothing else to misclick.
All I'm saying is if civ6 copied pg 100% it's combat would be x100 better than it is now do you not agree ?
If civ6 AI purchase units and put them in a pre-set position around cities ( like pg) would it not look x100 smarter than it is now ?
It's annoying that it's a force update with red death or whatever being very optional content.
I can't launch game without updating it. Then I read the patch notes and it doesn't seem to be anything I care so I clicked update. Then It's super annoying there are many "UNDOCUMENTED"changes. e.g...
You know, hex turn based war games were there since the beginning of time. There's got be a ton of those out there with all kinds of systems. I only played pg.
You gotta say as important as war is in a civ game, civ5/civ6 is not doing a great job there.
Panzer general, a game made over 25 years ago with 10mb in size has better unit combat than civ6. I can't kill 20 AI units with 2 archers and a warrior.
Making AI "smart" is hard of course but AI doesn't have to be "smart" to make the gaming experience better.
What you said definitely make sense but they can easily make it better. Good turn based hex combat games were out there since ages ago. e.g. panzer general. That game's "AI" and balance is 100x better than civ 5 and 6 and that's made over 20 years ago with a disk space of like 20 megabytes.
I got this free from Epic and it is suprisingly good.
There are a lot of negative reviews about the game I feel it's undeserved. The game is quite polished. I didn't buy the game because I thought my computer wouldn't run it but the performance is excellent and very efficient. This is a sign of...
None of it lived to promotion. with its bonus it's strength is 35, swordman is 36? so it doesn't really matter. Hoplites are already special units and cheaper for equal strength.
Point is, if I had 20 archers or horsemen it would be x100 easier, I would decimate the enermy and they cost LESS...
Well today I tried using melee units. Oh boy I didn't realize it's this bad.
I build 20 hoplites and felt pretty good attacking. Holy crap I was wrong.
If there is any rough terrain the hoplites get bogged down. God forbid if there is a river. you move to river bank, can't attack, cross...
