Nobles' Club XCVI: Brennus of the Celts

Haven't done a BTS game in the while (Civ V being my major preoccupation), but when I saw that there was a new NC conviently up today I decided I could use the coaching. I'm mainly worrying about accidentally transferring Civ V attitudes and gambits to BTS when they probably will fail miserably...

    First Time on Prince

Alright. Looks like you have some decent numbers around Dur-Kur, get to artillery and go for Buffalo Creek. If I'm targeting a city, I find it helps to have a line of troops around a city I'm not planning on going for, and keeping my true army hidden from his sight to draw his troops away...

    First Time on Prince

It's definatley going to be more difficult for you if you don't get to expanding. Unless you're going for culture, three cities is going to be very difficult to win with your first time on Prince. I would suggest an offensive if you can muster up enough forces to take a city or two. Generally...

What's your first build in your capital?

Monument, almost without fail. This impedes my ruin-grabbing, but I'll usually get at least 1 free tech from them, which is a good enough head start for me.

    Trouble in Bollywood

Well thank you for all of your help, but after 110 turns Genghis Khan got the best of me :( My wall of artillery could unfourtunatley not stop his repeated nuking. @Mesix: That seems like an excellent strategy: I may have to adopt that the next time I try for a Bollywood win. I did have one...

    Trouble in Bollywood

We are the only ones left on the continent. There are three other city-states, I believe, one is my ally and one is his. I just can't figure a way out of this stalemate. I can continue to fend him off, but I don't know if I can finish my culture victory before someone else gets, say, science. I...

    Trouble in Bollywood

I'm currently trying for my first Bollywood culture victory (prince, continents, quick), and am in the middle of a war with Genghis Khan. He owns about 80% of the land, and my three cities occupy the other 20%. The first wave he sent out was relativley powerful, as it took out most of my...

Nobles' Club LXXVIII: Cyrus of Persia

Haven't done a NC in a while, and I seem to be stuck on Noble >_< Maybe this game will help me get out of my rut. Epic Speed, Huts On :mischief: I was rewarded for my lack of kahones in turning huts on, as by turn 2 I had popped two scouts from goody huts :P My army of three scouts...

What is the Best Civilization in Civilizations 5?

I think what would be more useful is a tier list of sorts. It's true that each civ has their own niche, but ranking them by how well they can deal with unfavorable conditions and how well they excell in favorable ones would give a better represenation of a civ's "skill".

    Title Screen Problem

Hey all, A quick question: when, playing fullscreen, I try and skip the title screen using my masterful code (random combo of esc, spacebar, backspace, and enter) I get a windows screen that pops up and tells me that civ 5 needs to close... But when I do my random combo in any other resolution...

How satisfied are you with Civ5?

Halfway between completley satisfied and somewhat satisfied. I've really enjoyed playing ciV. The major differences in gameplay really makes the franchise fresher, diplomacy needs to be improved a bit, but Firaxis should fix that and some bugs in time. I was getting bored of cIV, so V was a...

Nobles' Club LI: Mao Zedong of China

A small update... Played a few more turns until 1600 AD This is why I'm irritated at this game. I absolutley hate when ai's will continue to come back for repeated wars, especially if little to no territory is gained. It's just menial, really bothersome. Oh well, guess I got to deal with...
