Oh catherine, we hardly recognize you

Thanks to Alsark, I couldn't resist. Forgive me if this is a little off-topic. Civ III: Civ IV: Civ Rev: Civ V: Sums up my experiences with Alexander with each game of Civ.

Top Must-Have Wonders for Each Civ

Okay, got some more to add here. The 'City of a Thousand Slums' world wonder is great for about any civ that wants to have a super city to give them an extra edge in terms of production or income. However, it's more effective on smaller maps than on larger ones where there aren't many cities...

Noob looking for some military advice

They do. But you often have to give a very generous offer in exchange for their mana, from my experience anyway. Unless of course if you have permenent allies. Then if you ask them or if they have more than one mana (e.g. two fire mana) available then they would happily give it to you.

Top Must-Have Wonders for Each Civ

Good point. I don't really specialize in what my cities build so I must have neglected that little tidbit. Can you elaborate?

Top Must-Have Wonders for Each Civ

Haven't seen a thread like this yet in the archives so I decided to make one. Which civ do you think benefits the most from specific wonders (note: this includes both World Wonders and National Wonders)? For example, considering that the Lanun optimally build their cities near coastlines, the...

    Fireball spam optimization

Well, I'm no expert, but I think you can just build the Amurite unique unit, Firebow, if you just want to spam fireballs. They start with the Fire I promotion and can quickly be promoted to Fire II, which essentially allows them to cast fireballs. For me, I first focus on building the 'Form...

+27 friendly relationship turned into war

Folket is right on that point. The moment you add the Tower of Mastery or the Altar of 'whatever-it's-called' to the building queue of one your cities, practically every civs will declare war on you, no matter how good your standing is with them. The only exceptions are those who are in a...

The Four Horsemen of Armageddon always targeting me?

I played through another session as the Sheaim again which thankfully turned out better. Yeah, you're correct on that point. Once I reached 90 on the AC, some of my units went crazy... and killed the Avatar of Wrath and his minions the moment they spawned. Serves him right for enraging my units...

The Four Horsemen of Armageddon always targeting me?

I play as the Sheaim with the Ashen Veil religion and my goal is to crank up the AC to the max (well, almost) so I'm pretty sure that I'm as evil as I can get. Not all my opponents have the "Barbarian" trait. I included some good-to-neutral civs like the Bannor, Lanun and Amurites to name a few...

The Four Horsemen of Armageddon always targeting me?

Okay, I played a few game sessions where I deliberately try to raise up the AC counter as the Sheaim just to get the Four Horsemen (Stephanos, Buboes, Yersinia and Ars Moriendi) to appear in Erebus and mess up my neighbours for fun. The first time it didn't work out so well. I was mostly...
