    Can't believe Salt provides food

Salt is a preservative. The presence of salt could greatly reduce the amount of meat wasted.

How civilizations are doing in real world now

@OP: You should calculate some type of Civ-esque overall score for each civ.

    Venetian.. Impi?

Ah, thanks. I didn't know you could see what units they give, that's really cool.

    Venetian.. Impi?

Good call, I played a couple more turns, and a city state gave me one, haha. Is it a bug that they give UUs? Or is that intended?

    Venetian.. Impi?

I was playing a game on BNW and noticed that Venice had an Impi... the Zulus aren't in the game that I'm playing. And ideas where it came from?

    Citizens to amount of Inhabitants?

Where did they come up with such a wild equation to calculate the population?

    Puppet Happiness

If a puppet city builds a happiness building, will the happiness from it contribute to my global happiness?

    Lazy scout syndrome

On a related note, I wish mousing over the heal button (for any unit) told you how many turns like it did in CivIV.

    Are workers afraid of ghosts?

Yeah, I have this problem, too. I've heard it does not occur on G&K.

PC Digital Download: Civilization V: Gold Edition $13.59

Is it just me or does the site just have very little text and a search brings up nothing? (And if this DOES work somehow, does this purchase give a Steam code?)

    Buying Gods & Kings?

Okay, I have Civilization V on Steam already -- I bought the Game of the Year addition awhile back. I've got into playing the game again recently and was looking into buying Gods and Kings, and found myself confused: A is obviously the complete game -- Vanilla, Gods and Kings, and all other...

Playing to Lose: AI and "Civilization" (Soren Johnson)

Sadly, I said in theory, and at the moment am not really sure how to do this with civilization. Perhaps some of the much more advanced modders would be able to do it; I have little experience with CivIV's game files. I also lack the actual gaming skill required to code it, either -- you have to...

Playing to Lose: AI and "Civilization" (Soren Johnson)

That's debatable. In theory, you could make an AI that learns from game to game -- when it is successful at something, it analyzes why it did well, and saves those parameters that made it do something good in a file in the games files. It does the same thing when it does something bad. Say...

Video Preview of Civilization Board Game

I think I'll stick with Risk; if I want to play Civ, that is and should be something for the computer. There's a certain level of complexity where it is just a lot cleaner looking, less space consuming, and easier (Don't have to learn 8 billion little rules) to play on the computer.
