It makes sense to me, but I haven't noticed the effect myself. I might have made a mistake in referencing the game manual which ending up being shipped as a very rough draft...
In any case I wouldn't recommend ignoring active missions entirely. There's a lot of stuff spies can do which can...
In case the last two posters weren't clear enough, you needn't worry about your current espionage points when it comes to the "Passive" missions like City Visablity and knowing what is being researched. Passive missions come from your total espionage points against that civ and will keep adding...
What I try to do to prevent this kind of situation is either build the AP myself or get Shwedagon Paya and stick with Free Religion. Also, what you could have done is to give Mass Media to the AP's owner (I've never tried this myself, but I remember hearing about people forcing the wonder to...
A "No Leaderheads" option is a great idea.
Along with helping slow-down issues, it'd be a simple solution for people who have certain leaderheads showing up incorrectly (or even causing a CTD when they appear)
So then, what would appear in place of the 3D leaderhead? Just a static image...
My advice is to forget the early rush and use the Holkans to make sure you don't yourself get rushed. A chariot rush, and especially an Immortal rush, would be difficult to fight off without copper/iron to build spearmen with (and even if you had them they'd be a primary target for pillaging)...
I'm surprised the Mayan Ball Court isn't one of the choices (maybe it's the one that's getting the votes for "other"?)
Extra happiness that early on isn't something to make light of; it makes the Mayans a lot more fun to play as for me.
But, in all seriousness, the Ikhanda is the best...
One thing that I can confirm was fixed in this patch was the problem I had with the Age of Ice scenario. It used to load the map without the interface, but now everything works fine.
I'm happy with this, and I'm sure that the 3 other people who ever had this problem will enjoy this patch as...
The changing tones of the music through different eras is a very nice touch.
The modern music isn't as good as the earlier stuff, though, with the possible exception of "The People are Heroes"
(iirc it's the only song in the game with English lyrics, but I still can't understand but half of...
The Apostolic Palace is much more situational than the United Nations. The chance must arise before there are any decisions to be made.
In order to win a Diplomatic victory from it, the religion needs to have been spread to at least one city in every civ in the game. (so that everyone gets a...
Everyone's talking about the new civs and leaders, but the veterans deserve some respect too. :king:
My vote has to go to Ramesses II.
His UB now lasts much longer and the new wonder Shwedagon Paya plays perfectly to his talents. I've never been a fan of the Spiritual trait, but the...
The US release date is July 23rd, so try checking a different store on Monday.
(No idea why we're getting the game after Australia and Europe, but it's no big deal to me)
I thought the unique units based on Musketmen were already powerful enough to make up for the short shelf life. Musketeers will be more useful for sure, but now it seems like Oromo Warriors might be the best UU in the whole expansion :)
Mine came with the computer, something like an "Intel Totally Exteme Graphics to-the-Max 2000".
I understand it's a lousy card for gaming, and causes other display problems with Civ IV but I've never seen the game crash like this.
I assumed it was something like the Mehmed II problem, but...
