Who thinks culture victory is interesting?

I have to play it before I can make any judgement on it. It's making culture more active, which is always a good thing, but if it turns out to be a 'one way to win' kind of thing, well...

    Workers - auto or not?

You also get a production bonus from a railroad, and that may be worth it by itself.

What Native American tribe do you expect/want?

That was my thinking too. Apache and Comanche are fine and all, but other civs have their characteristics already and I feel like the Native American civs should be different enough from each other to allow other play styles. For example, the Navajo could be cultural/religious, with a blanket...

    Better Barbarians

I think they are more or less fine the way they are, but a mechanic mimicking the Mongol/Hun invasions in Crusader Kings 2 could be interesting. Rumors spread that a horde of godless heathens has appeared in X direction, then a few turns later they hit you. Have it happen once or twice per game.

    Workers - auto or not?

I'm the same way. I never automate if it's on a jungle map though, because they just love to clear cut everything for a farm.

What Native American tribe do you expect/want?

Same, especially if they get some decent things going on with tundra/snow/ice. Haida, maybe, representing a conglomeration of the W/NW North American tribes like the Iroquois do. If Pueblo isn't happening, maybe the Navajo could represent the southwestern tribes.

Do You Want XCOM Squad in game?

I'm looking forward to it, but of course I just like sci-fi stuff in general, so..

    Drones in BNW?

I say no, mainly because their functions can be handled by other in-game units, and unlimited range/no FoW is too powerful (and unrealistic), imo. I could see an AWACS type unit eliminating FoW in a fairly large radius, but not a drone.

    Ideologies and Culture

Exactly! And religion is an aspect of culture, though what we are presented with in the Civ series is an extreme simplification of what is going on. My point was that Northern Ireland more closely identified with British Protestantism than Irish Catholicism, leading to them ultimately joining...

    Ideologies and Culture

Actually there are multiple examples throughout history, where one culture/city/territory has been assimilated into a neighboring culture. One of the more recent examples is Northern Ireland, who chose to split with the Republic of Ireland in 1922. You could make a comparison to the border...

[Speculation] Reintroducing Mali and the Zulus

Zulus are virtually guaranteed to be in, and I would be extremely surprised if they weren't included in some way. 1) they're a Civ staple that has been noticeably absent, 2) there is an African colonial scenario, 3) the Zulus were/are a prominent kingdom and ethnic group in South Africa.

    Ideologies and Culture

Sounds like they've drawn some inspiration from Civ IV's culture flipping... definitely a good thing, that was always my favorite mechanic.

    Your list of G&K civs

Carthage - I felt their UU's are interesting, but never got a chance to use them in my game as I was at peace during the time they were available. Their mountain walking is very situational, but their free harbors are nice. Sweden - this civ feels like the one you'd want to use in a diplo...

    Pretty Strange Diplomacy from Austria.

I think G&K diplomacy in general is a lot more bipolar than vanilla. I had Egypt (on another continent) harassing and bullying my CS's, hostile, daring me to come do something about it. So I started loading my troops up, and suddenly he was friendly! Still harassing my CS's, but friendly...

    Combating Spys

My strategies: (if in tech lead) - focus science on one city, the AI will swarm only that city with spies making it easier to defend - first spy is on defense in highest potential city (usually capitol) - second spy in second highest potential - remainder of spies keeping tabs on potential...
