    Logistics & Stack of Doom

Huge maps are unbalancing for SoDs, but in principle if someone has that much larger an army they should win. I'm not a believer in putting hard caps on unit stacking of any sort. One big SoD is not the optimal way to play on the offense anyway, but it's tough for the AI to know how to gamble...

    v3.4 - can't whip?

Did the whip for slavery get removed in RI? I see references to "sacrificing population causes less unhappiness" and occasional references to the whip in the game, but the option doesn't appear anywhere.even if I run Slavery civic. I can get removing the whip for balance reasons, but I just...

[CIV6] Again, about units per tiles

Modders tried to implement MUPT in Civ5 without much success. It's really hard to program an AI basically from scratch, and patches can't be used in MP. (Why Firaxis? MP needs a vibrant mod community.)

    Civilization VI Wishlist or Ideas

Replace 1UPT with armies. 1UPT causes too much dronejam and adds more problems to the game than it fixes. It's too late for such a massive change to be implemented but right now I wouldn't bother with Civ6 unless it was highly moddable and someone could put in proper unit/military management...

[CIV6] Again, about units per tiles

1UPT is stupid and I have little hope for Civ6. Definitely won't be wasting my money on it. Thanks for running one of the good series into the ground with bad game design.

What is your single most important request for Civ 6?

MP is very low on the list of priorities as far as I can tell... Civ5 MP is not at all to be taken seriously.

Civ 6 - The Next Big Thing?

Ed Beach likes 1UPT last I heard. I know C-evo is still kicking around, so if Firaxis is really interested in punishing Civ clones they're not going out of their way.

That's it - Liberty is complete utter worthless trash

It comes back to how Civ5 is a game of filling buckets, and in an overwhelming majority of games, not picking tradition is too great a nerf if you're playing for the fastest finish. It's not very good for rushing opponents due to having few viable tech paths in the game, all of which favor...

Civ 6 - The Next Big Thing?

Welp, looks like 1UPT will be back. Gag. I'm going to pass on this one. If anyone is interested in developing a Civ clone, I am very interested.

Things in Civ V you don't want to see in Civ VI

Basically everything that defines Civ V that wasn't in previous iterations, besides hexes (much superior to squares). That is a lot of things, but a few things in particular stand out: - 1UPT. God how I hate this idea. Almost everything in Civ 5 and Beyond Earth was ruined by this...

Where is the real Civ Game?

Civilization V has a lot of leaks in the AI that have been fixed (somewhat) by modders. It is hurt more by being a fundamentally flawed game - 1UPT takes away a lot from the game, strategically and tactically. I don't particularly like the direction Civ has been going since 3, though the new...

    Civilization VI wish list: Combat

I like the "stack as a single unit" concept.

How do you think Civ VI should handle Uniques?

Uniques are not a "core feature". They were a small boost introduced in the third game, that creeped into what they are in the most recent game.

How would you feel about a tactical battle map in civ6?

You could make a tactical-level combat resolution, but the process should be automated - even if it means watching the AI make boneheaded decisions that destroy your army. Too much micromanagement slows down the game. In order to pull this off, the AI in charge would need a better...

Getting rid of the roll-eyes smiley

Sarcastic emotes in general need to be purged from the internet and all forms of discourse. Sarcasm itself has a use but it is used far too often by people who don't stop to think about the crap pouring out of their mouths. Unfortunately, people on the internet feel that they are immune to...
