    Is AI really brain dead?

Makes sense. Many casuals and reviews wanted a civilization city builder with the option of war like a mobile game (such as Dominations). The AI is perfect for them. Making a AI for: Civ city builders Civ base builders Civ tactical wargamers Civ strategic generals might be tough. It would...

    that steamrolling

Rather than a counter for steamrolling, a more appropriate opposition to steamrolling is a new lategame victory type. One that you can retool your empire to in the midgame. The steamrolling civs would still have access to their tools and still have their early work validated. However the...

    Is AI really brain dead?

This is one of the issues with Civ. Everyone has different desires of how the game is played. The Human's intelligent production empire plans vs the AI's difficulty based production bonuses The Human's intelligent strategic picks of techs and civics vs the AI's free techs and civics The...

AI: Why is it so hard to improve?

The AI issue, from what I see, is no 1UPT. 1IPT allowed for fake difficulty. The issue with the AI is that the AI does not understand a few key basic and key complex aspects of playing the game. It's like a shooter where the AI bots don't use cover. So you give them double health. 1UPT is...

    So, Builders or Workers

Why not both? Really Builders with charges are better for Civ VI. There is less to micro on the civilian side. Workers could only work if they start off slow and there is a way to speed them up with techs/wonders/corps.

    Non-replacing UU

I'm confused on the Saka horse Archer. Is it an Archer or is it a Light Cav with the Archery Promotion tree? If the latter, are there other UUs with the class of one type and the promotions of another?

    Religious Combat Silliness

I kinda like it. But it comes too late for me. Priests fighting via miracles and magic is Ancient era. Classical the latest. Okay.... Maybe Medieval Ancient-Medieval : Power of Zeus/Thor/Set/Oya/Thunderbird Renaissance - Modern: Old man yelling Atomic Onward: Throw computers

Civ 6, in Eurocentric cultural analysis

I as not saying that the Never Past Classical Civs aren't important. I'm saying that Civilization is a "what if" game. You take the "Never past Classical" Aztecs and Sumeria, the "Fell after Classical" Rome and Greeks, the "Started in Medieval" England and France, the "Came in Renaissance"...

Civ 5 UAs that haven't returned to Civ 6

India's CIV V UA would be interesting. Bonus Housing in each city (+2 per era). Unhappiness for every city past the first. What other civ is known for overcrowded cities?

Civ 6, in Eurocentric cultural analysis

I never got the whole "Never got past chiefdom" argument. This game is Civilization. Some Civ didn't move past Classical. Other Civs didn't exist until Medieval Era And some came after the Renaissance. Same with Western Connection. Some started in the West since the Ancient. Some be entwined...

    Vanilla Civs and Crazy Civs

Venice was a little too crazy but a great addition for a 2nd expansion. There could be more crazy types of civs that could be nuts without being horrible for the AI. I could see more workable crazy civs. Peaceful Democracy civ- Cannot decare war. Can only declare Joint War or be declared on...

    Vanilla Civs and Crazy Civs

What? You still left Shoshone (forward settle blob on everyone) and Iroquois (I heard you like cities) on?

    Vanilla Civs and Crazy Civs

I don't want every civ to be crazy. But out of 19 Civs, i expected 3 crazy civs. 1 in 6. Humans, Elves, Orcs, Other Elves, Other Humans, then Undead. Humans, Super Humans, Evil super Humans, Space Orcs, 2 Space Elves, then Space Insects. I've been watching Marboir play Kongo and it seems that...

What if you got to pick the Civ 6 roster?

You'd probably still be relying on rivers or coast for water or coastal or river cities for trade. Large amounts of people couldn't live in deserts so desert tonws (Arabia) were trading posts at best until the Medieval era. So the many culture came from the river citys, port and grassland towns...
