After a several year long hiatus from Civilization, I decided it was time to load up the game I've spent all my teen years playing.
I bought Civ5 with all DLC... and wtf? That's it? Pathetic!
I then loaded up Civ4 with RoM and AND, but decided to have a look on CivFanatics. I was pleasantly...
Hi guys
Can someone explain the resource game mechanics? My situation is that I have 2 and are importing 1 sulphur, but yet my total is -1. How can that be? I'm not exporting any.
I must insist. Iron and Copper dissappear simultaneous
It might need further tweaking... in my game the year is 1663 AD and the world seems to have run out of iron. I guess horse carriages will continue to be the preferred method of transport :crazyeye:
Are resources supposed to run dry at the same time? I had three copper resources and all dissappered on the same time.
Also, I'm having some spots on the map that keep having FOW even though I have units nearby. Anyone else experiencing this?
Hi Afforess
I too am getting a CTD on the exact same date. This is my second game with Beta9 where this happens. Both times in the early medieval age.
I have AND installed on a clean 2.81 megapack RoM install. RAM should not be an issue either as I got 4 gb.
To a certain extend. As a rule of thumb I believe you should always have a minimum of 10% free space left. But whether you have 20% or 80% left should not matter.
It will only deplete if you work it. I just changed the depletion rates to my preferences myself ;) I like the idea of running out of resources as well, I just think it should happen in late periods only. Perhaps remove the feature from normal mines and tone it down for shaft mines? So it would...
I think the resource depletion needs a little tweaking. I have had three mines depleted in 10 turns. Don't know if it is random, but at this rate I will have nothing when I reach the renaissance.
Also, I'm with Alorente on the Dark Ages. They are a bit too much, it is almost impossible to...
Wauw Civ Fuehrer! This sounds too good to be true :) Do you expect this to be released in the forseeable future? Anyways, I know it is hard work and just wanted to voice my support.
Cheers
@ phillipe
I'm getting 300+ kb/s so perhaps your connection just suck?
I'm dusting off my civ4 (yet again) one of the few PC games one can return to again and again. Not least because of this wonderful mod. Thank you zappara and contributors, for your continued efforts to improve civ4 :king:
I'm having no problems at all, haven't had a single crash and I'm on medieval on giant/snail map.
