First Play through on the script I was skeptical because of the resource boost, and the starts, but I played through and had a great time. The map plays better then most. I really enjoyed it thanks.
These two are things I'm really missing. It seems like there are massive penalties for trying to expand huge empires, and quite frankly it used to be my favorite thing to do. I loved over growing people and spreading my culture like a virus winning domination not only with the sword but with...
Stupid warmonger penalty totally negates the point of Genghis Khans Bonus. This is worse then nuking everyone's best friend in civ 4! Literally the entire game was at war with me after only taking 3 CS's way early on. 4000 years later they are still denouncing and declaring on me like I did this...
My three favorites in the week that I've owned Civ5:
Kamehameha + Islands = Game over.
Montezuma the raging barbarian slayer for gobs of double stacked culture early on is pretty amazing. I think I cleared two fulls social trees + before 1AD
Washington is my new flavor of the day. I...
I've been playing CIV IV on and off since BTS came out. Just saw CIV V complete(?) on Steam really cheap last week. Got everything all at once.
My Initial reaction was, well it looks nice but meh. The more I play it the more I'm growing to like it.
The load time sucks and there are a few...
I didn't say axes. How do you spam warriors without whipping or chopping? Don't get me wrong I know one can generate 5 or 6 warriors without disrupting things too much, but that's hardly a force when dealing with barbarians and 17 other civs. I'm sure anything is possible, some of you guys have...
If you never roll BW (In his random card thingy), I would think that no it probably isn't. I'm picturing a succession of rolling highest cost techs early on, wasting hundreds of turns not being able to chop or whip, bring chased around by Barbarians, getting stomped.
Re-reading my comments I feel it might have come of a bit harsh. Sorry about that. I totally get what your saying though. I think most of the reason people think warlord to noble isn't a big jump is because both are pretty easy anyway. I think people may over estimate just how easy warlord...
Seems to be working fine. Just loaded it as a mod for now. Still trying to get used to it. Not sure if I really like it yet tbh.
The grasslands being really grainy bothers me. I understand it's supposed to simulate grassy patches but at the distance being viewed to see that kind of detail is a...
What kind of a performance hit, if any should I expect with this? I generally play pretty huge maps and marathon with 18 civs. Late game starts to get a little laggy. Eye candy is only good until I have to make sacrifices.
Ran into a particularly nasty "Stalin of Persia" with UL's last night. Dude hit me with a SoD bigger then I've ever seen. It was like 115 Cav, 40+ Riffles, Plus a decent number assorted lowbie units. The only thing that saved me was his cannons were separated so when he finally hit me he had...
I think the AI knows this and abuses it too. My last game I (for once) settled the mining one. I spammed the crap out of it to almost every city on the map. Shortly after I saw an unusually high level of AI battles, and an even more unusually high instance of cities being returned to the civ...
Sitting Bull. I'm not sure if it's just me or? But he loves to drop a city on my borders, if he can, almost every time shortly after we meet. He kind of guarantees early border tension, then makes insane demands. He's sneaky and a royal PITA.
OP. I think all you are doing is proving is how easy warlord is. You are showing that Warloard is so easy you can play it without strategy. Nobel is Neutral and where you have to start thinking about what you are doing. You are basically playing Chess by random and wondering why you can win...
